Purple, pink or blue! What color would you put in your hair if you knew you could easily wash it out? If you haven’t heard about it yet, this is a trend that has spread like wildfire. People are using chalk to temporarily color their hair in a wide variety of colors.

Tips for Hair Chalking!

Here are some tips we suggest for chalking your hair:

  • Make sure to brush the excess powder out our your hair after chalking each piece
  • If you have lighter hair don’t add water, but for darker hair you may need to dampen the hair
  • Make sure you shampoo your hair with a clarifying shampoo after chalking to get the color out
  • Always use conditioner after hair chalking to give some moisture back to your hair

So go to your local arts and crafts store get some soft pastels and try hair chalking. This is great when you want to put a pink strip in your hair for breast cancer awareness and also can be fun to change up your look for the weekend. Get creative and stand out from the crowd. The best part about it is it is temporary so have fun with it!
