How to make a Donut Bun

By now we have all seen women everywhere with their hair pulled into a donut bun. This new trendy hairstyle can be seen walking down the street, in a classroom sitting right in front of you, popping over the top of your office cubical, in ballet class, or out to dinner sitting right at the table next to you looking like the doughnut dessert on your plate. There are several ways to get this look and I am going to tell you how.
First option: This is called a sock bun. A normal sock is turned into the foundation for your hair bun. Cut the toe off and roll it into a doughnut shape. Pull hair into a ponytail, taking into consideration where you want your donut hair bun to be placed on your head. Pull the hair through and cover the sock. Either use another hair tie to hold down the hair, or use bobby pins to create a messy bun. Use hairspray to hold back those flyways if you are going for the sleek, perfect bun look.
Second option: If you are blessed with a full head of thick hair, this option is for you. Pull your hair into a ponytail at the desired location of the finished bun. Secure with a thick elastic hair tie, maybe two if you need extra reinforcement. Start twirling your ponytail until it naturally starts to twist itself to your head. Twist the hair starting with the base closest to you head and wrap the rest of your hair in the direction it is naturally going. Finally, add as many bobby pins as you need to keep that bun tight! Hairspray if needed.
Third option: I saved the best for last, a hair donut! You can buy one online and have it delivered directly to your door. That is just the first perk for this convenient hair bun accessory. You can use it the exact same way as described above with the sock bun, but they come in different sizes and different colors to blend better in your hair. This bun maker is the best hair accessory I have ever owned. Do yourself a favor and buy one today to get the next best donut bun on the street.
